The Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium, known as the Sooriyawewa International Cricket Stadium or Hambantota Stadium, is located in Sooriyawewa, Hambantota. It is one of this country’s primary and largest cricket stadiums and has hosted several international matches.

This stadium was built in 2009 and was mainly constructed to host the ICC World Cup 2011 matches. It has a seating capacity of around 35,000 spectators, which makes it one of the larger cricket stadiums in Sri Lanka.
